A man in Dunedin could have his home go into foreclosure over uncut grass.
Attorney's representing Jim Ficken say he was out of town last summer and had paid someone to take care of the yard work at the property, but that person unfortunately died unexpectedly.
A code inspector found the grass to be above ten-inches tall, and began fining Ficken $500 per day, for what lasted 57 days.
Tuesday, the city started to move towards foreclosing his house.
Ficken and his attorneys are fighting back and suing Dunedin for what they're calling excessive and abusive fines, and they plan to go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court if that's what it takes.
