If anyone knows what it’s like to have huge feet, it’s Shaquille O’Neal. The basketball star wears size 22 shoes and recently bought a 13-year-old basketball player with size 18 feet ten new pairs of shoes after learning that his mom couldn’t afford them.
Shaq met Zach Keith at Friedman’s Shoes in Atlanta, a store known for carrying larger sizes that was already near and dear to the NBA Hall of Famer’s heart. Shaq says when he was an 18-year-old, Friedman’s owner, Bruce Teilhaber, gave him a free pair of size 18 shoes when he was searching for loafers for prom.
So when he heard that Zach’s mom needed some help buying footwear for her growing teen, he was happy to step up. “Bruce did it for me,” he explains. “And I just want to return the favor.”
