Police in San Francisco credit good samaritans for stopping an attempted kidnapping on a busy street in the city. They say a two-year-old boy was holding hands and walking with his mother in the Castro neighborhood when a DJ from Australia walked past and grabbed the boy.
The would-be-kidnapper snatched the little guy and ran for about half a block while the mom and several strangers followed. Police report that the bystanders grabbed the man and held him until officers arrived.
Roscoe Bradley Holyoake of Perth, Australia has been arrested for the crime. According to Australian media reports, he’s a popular DJ, but now he’s in San Francisco County Jail on $500,000 bail. And thanks to the kind strangers, the little boy is safe.
