Principal Dies After Donating Bone Marrow to Stranger

A New Jersey high school is mourning the loss of their principal, who appears to have died unexpectedly after donating bone marrow. Dr. Derrick Nelson had served as Westfield High School's principal since 2017. The circumstances of his death aren't immediately clear, and grief counselors are being made available following the surprising news. The 44-year-old Dr. Nelson as an officer in the Army Reserve for 20 years and a graduate of Seton Hall University.
