More information is being released about the killing of a mother outside a Southern California police station. Hawthorne Police Lieutenant Gary Tomatani says Brenda Renteria was planning a custody exchange with the suspect when she was shot on Sunday. Police took Jacob Munn into custody a short time later after setting up a containment zone near 133rd and Hawthorne. Investigators say one officer did open fire on Munn as he fled the police station, but did not hit him. The couple's child was not injured. Bail is set at two-million dollars.
