Infant Deaths Prompt Warning About Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Fisher-Price are warning parents about using the Rock 'N Play inclined sleeperfor children who are more than three months old following reports that ten children have died since 2015.

"Fisher-Price warns consumers to stop using the product when infants can roll over, but the reported deaths show that some consumers are still using the product when infants are capable of rolling and without using the three point harness restraint,"the company wrote in a press release.

Fisher-Price advised parents not to "add blankets, pillows, stuffed toys, or other items" to the sleeping area of their infants and always to put them to sleep on their backs.

TheRock 'N Play is not being recalled because the product "meets all applicable safety standards."
