Heavy Rains Cause Thousands of Poisonous Toads to Infest Town

Residents of a South Florida neighborhood are concerned about an invasion of poisonous toads. The bufo or cane toads secrete a toxic substance than can be fatal to pets if ingested. Experts say the number of toads is up because of recent warm weather and heavy rainfall. Resident Jennifer Quasha tells WPBF-TV her family woke up Friday to thousands of the tiny toads in the neighborhood.
