Verizon Worker Suspended Without Pay After Rescuing Cat from Pole in PA

Verizon worker Maurice German was working on lines near Philadelphia when a resident asked him if he could rescue their cat who was stuck atop atop a nearby telephone pole for 12 hours. German rescued the cat, but when Verizon found out they later suspended German for 3 weeks without pay because they say he violated their safety protocol. Verizon say they did make a donation to the SPCA in Fishtown.
