A Missouri man convicted of illegally killing deer is going to jail for a year, and he'll have to watch Bambi every month. David Berry Junior was sentenced last week in what state wildlife officials call one of Missouri's biggest poaching cases. Prosecutors in southwest Missouri say Berry killed hundreds of deer, mostly at night. He took only the animals' heads and antlers for trophies and left the bodies to rot. In sentencing Berry, Lawrence County Judge Robert George ordered Berry to watch Bambi at least once a month while he's behind bars. In the classic 1942 animated movie, hunters kill Bambi's mother.
