Dad Allegedly Wore Ref Uniform to Help His Son's Football Team Win

Parents of football players at Simeon High School in Chicago are accusing an Illinois High School Association official of cheating.  A lawsuit filed on Friday against the IHSA claims Richard Mercado influenced officials during the state playoff game between Simeon and Nazareth on November 10th.  Mercado is a parent of a player on Nazareth, which won the game 34-27.  The suit requests that the IHSA vacate Nazareth's win and that the IHSA stops employing Mercado and the crew that worked the game.
