Utah Mayor Killed in Apparent Insider Attack While Deployed in Afghanistan

The body of North Ogden's mayor is set to arrive in the U.S. today, after he was killed in action in Afghanistan.  According to KSL-TV in Salt Lake City, Brent Taylor died Saturday when a member of the Afghan security forces opened fire on American service members in what's being called an "insider attack" as American troops trained Afghan service members.  Taylor was a major in Utah's Army National Guard.  He was deployed to Afghanistan in January after being re-elected in 2017.  It was his fourth deployment.  Taylor is survived by a wife and seven young children.  He was 39.
