A single mother has made it her mission to help boost little girls’ confidence and show love for kids battling cancer or other hair loss conditions.
Quilla Bohannon understands how being bullied for not having hair can “tarnish a child’s self-esteem,” which is why she makes free wigs for kids.
It takes a week to 30 days to complete one wig. So far, Quilla has made over 1,200. The process can be grueling on the body, but the “wig fairy” said the children inspire her. “When a kid sees their wig for the first time, it just melts my heart,” she said. “They’re already dealing with a lot, I want them to feel normal.”
