Alexa might soon welcome you to your hotel room. Amazon is announcing a new program it calls Alexa for Hospitality today. It's designed to bring the company's voice assistant technology to everything from chain hotels to vacation rentals. Amazon says it can be customized to request services including room service or housekeeping and it can be set up to control "smart" hotel room functions such as raising the blinds or adjusting the thermostat. Amazon is launching the new platform this summer at Marriott properties including Marriott Hotels, Westin Hotels and Resorts, Aloft Hotels, and Autograph Collection Hotels.
