A Buffalo Bills fan who lost a small amount of her late father's ashes at a game has them back home thanks to help from fellow fans. Breanna Tompkins brought the ashes to her first Bills game since her father died six months ago, hoping to keep the die-hard fan close for an experience they had always shared.
When Tompkins realized the ashes were missing, she spent two hours searching the parking lot with help from security and others before turning to the Bills Mafia community online. Strangers offered to return to the stadium and search, but it turned out a couple walking behind Tompkins on game day had already found the necklace containing the ashes and kept it safe.
The couple eventually contacted the Bills and was connected with Tompkins' family, allowing the ashes to be returned just days later. Tompkins says having that piece of her dad back meant the world to her and she's grateful to everyone who stepped up to help.
