Music: Chester Bennington's Son Not A Fan Of Linkin Park Hiring New Singer

Chester Bennington's Son does not like Linkin Park hiring a new singer.

With everyone sharing their opinions about the new incarnation of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington’s son has weighed in…and he’s not a fan. In an Instagram Story post yesterday, Jaime Bennington said that Mike Shinoda had “quietly erased my father’s life and legacy in real time…during international suicide prevention month.” Jaime wrote several long paragraphs about the band's relaunch and included new vocalist Emily Armstrong in his comments, referring to her ties to the Church of Scientology and her support of Danny Masterson. Jaime didn’t leave much doubt that he thinks the new version of his dad’s band is a horrible idea.

Jelly Roll Is Taking His Tour Seriously

Jelly Roll is in the midst of his "Beautifully Broken" tour and just posted an update to his Instagram after his most recent Anaheim show.

The post was captioned: "Anaheim was crazy - I've never taken anything more serious than I have this tour."

The video starts out by Jelly getting gifted a sweet custom Anaheim Ducks jacket, which you can tell he's real happy about.

He then breaks down his daily routine. He said, "I feel great. I've never felt more clear-headed. I've never felt more focused. [I'm] really eating militant, walking every day, hitting a bunch of steps. Just taking it serious, man."

And right before showtime he says, quote, "I'll eat two bananas, and then I'll do a little boxing workout for 15, 20 minutes . . . I'm already kinda sweatin', and ready to [effing] roll, baby."

No, you didn’t miss news of a reunion tour; Greenwood said, “We did some rehearsals about two months ago in London, just to play the old songs.” Don’t get your hopes up that it could lead to more, since everyone in the band is busy with different projects these days.

Are The Cure About To Release New Music?

It’s been 16 years since The Cure has released new music, but they may be about to reset that counter. The band swapped out its previous profile picture on social media platforms with one showing a new band logo with an all-black background. That may sound like a lot of fuss in the comments sections over nothing, but guitarist Reeves Gabrels also shared a link to the band’s redesigned website and encouraged everyone to sign up to the mailing list, then posted the lyrics from a new song called “Alone.” There might be something on the horizon after all.
