Is Kevin Costner Leaving Yellowstone? Is Matthew McConaughey Joining?

There's some drama going on in the world of "Yellowstone". Matthew McConaughey is in talks with the co-creator of the show, Taylor Sheridan, for a spinoff series within the "Yellowstone" universe. However, there are reports that the flagship series may end early due to scheduling conflicts with the star, Kevin Costner.

Costner, who won a Golden Globe for his role as John Dutton, reportedly only wants to work for a single week on the second half of season five. Meanwhile, Paramount Network says that they have no news to report and hope that Costner will be a part of "Yellowstone" for a long time.

There's speculation that this could be a negotiating tactic by the network, and representatives from Paramount Network and MTV Entertainment Studios didn't return a request for comment when “The Hollywood Reporter” reached out.
