Andi's Adoptables: Meet Peppy!

This is Peppy! He's 10 years old, great with other dogs, and--earning his name--still quite Peppy despite his age! He's loving and loyal, and more than anything else Peppy deserves a nice and comfortable loving home for the holidays where he can live out the rest of his days. Unfortunately, Peppy's days are numbered. You wouldn't know it when you first meet him because he's still spry, energetic and filled with life; but when Peppy was first brought in to the shelter, an unusual growth was found on his skin. When his results came back, it was discovered that Peppy has melanoma--or skin cancer--and, unfortunately, it cannot be treated. The staff can't determine Peppy's exact life expectancy, however they believe he likely won't live longer than 2 years. The Animal Rescue League of Berks County will give Peppy's adopter as much support as they can, so they are willing to offer him or her further diagnostic tests (if desired) to determine the exact spread of the cancer, as well as end-of-life services, including cremation, when that time may come.

Peppy is available for adoption from the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.
