There are new details on the upcoming "Gossip Girl" reboot.
Creator, showrunner and executive producer of the reboot Joshua Safran took to Twitter over the weekend to answer questions from fans about what to expect in the HBO Max series. Safran revealed the show is going to be more diverse from the original series and "very, very queer."
HBO Max announced last summer that they were picking up the "Gossip Girl" reboot for ten episodes. The series was supposed to begin production over the summer, but it has been delayed to next year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming, we now know, starts next month.
The show launched the career of Blake Lively. Original cast member Kristen Bell, who voiced the “gossip girl,” but was never seen is reprising that role for the new show.
