Fans of “Game of Thrones” author George R. R. Martin are very unhappy with the delay of his book “The Winds of Winter,” the next installment in the “A Song of Fire and Ice” series. Last year, the author said in a blog post that if he didn’t have the book done by yesterday he’d be okay with being imprisoned, and the deadline has now past, and fans want just that.
“If I don’t have ‘The Winds of Winter’ in hand when I arrive in New Zealand for worldcon,” he shared in a 2019 blog post, “you have here my formal written permission to imprison me in a small cabin on White Island, overlooking that lake of sulfuric acid, until I’m done.”
Back in June the 71-year-old admitted he still had a long way to go with the book, and now fans have taken to social media calling for his confinement. “Send in the feds I guess," tweeted one follower, while another added, “Let me get these cuffs out right quick.” Source:New York Post
