Mom Outraged After Son Receives Inappropriate Note From School Bus Driver

A mom in Oklahoma was shocked to find a note from her son’s school bus driver telling him he wants to be friends. The woman, who’s remaining anonymous to protect her son’s identity, immediately contacted the school and police when she saw the inappropriate letter in her seventh-grader’s backpack.

The driver’s letter says he wants to spend more time with the boy and that after school “there’s really no time to talk, just a quick hug.” He writes that he’s been wanting to talk about spending time together for some time, maybe with some of his other friends, too. “I really want to be friends with you and every once in a while, hang out together to play, talk, etc.,” the letter reads. “Yes! I am a grown man, but I like friendship with kids like you. Tell me what you think, no pressure though.”

The mother was concerned the driver could harm a child and her concerns were raised earlier in the year when he asked her son for a hug. School officials told her the driver was taken off the route and no longer works for them. The school district says while he didn’t break the law, “his actions were inappropriate.”
