How to Survive an Active Shooter Event on Campus - Back to School Training!

How do you feel about all of the mass shootings America is experiencing? Do you think twice before going to an outdoors event? Worry about the kids going back to school?

Towson University put together an intense video on what to do in case of an active shooter, and it's intense.

Avoid - if you can safely find an exit, don't hesitate, leave all belongings behind, prevent others from entering the area

Deny - if you can't leave, find safe shelter and deny access to the shooter; blockade the door, act quickly and quietly, turn off lights, be calm and quiet, silence your cell phone and other devices

Defend - Defend yourself, arm and take down the shooter at all costs. Books, chairs, pens, equipment can all be weapons. Disarm the shooter, but don't pick up the gun.
