Daily Do Good: Team Of Volunteers Help Homeless Vet Move Into His Childhood

U.S. Air Force veteran Michael Malone had been living in a center for homeless vets because he couldn’t afford to make necessary repairs on his childhood home he inherited from his mother. But a team of more than 60 volunteers from the Home Depot Foundation and the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation have been fixing up the home and now he can move back home.

Renovations will be wrapping up this week and after volunteers buy some new furniture for the house, Malone will be ready to move back in. He says he feels blessed and grateful for the support of the community.

"This just blows me away that there are people that are really truly that kind," Malone says. "It absolutely restores my view of humanity."
