The Stroudsburg Area School Board is voting down a grant from the National Rifle Association for its Rifle team. The board voted yesterday six-to-two against taking nearly five-thousand dollars from the N-R-A, which was applied for by Rifle team student members. The public meeting reportedly saw a mix of reactions, and two students speaking before the board said the team's equipment dated from 40 years ago. Board director spoke, noting that while he enjoyed hunting and the Rifle team, he did not consider the NRA grant acceptable due to his opinion of the organization.
