Daily Do Good: Officer Fixes Woman’s Roof Before Ice Storm Hits

With ice storms in the forecast, one Olathe, Kansas police sergeant went above and beyond for a resident who needed help with her roof. Sgt. Brian Wessling stepped up to help an elderly woman who called the police because she was worried a hole in her roof and the ice storms and she said she had no one else to help her.

When officers couldn’t find any other volunteers to do the work, Wessling grabbed his tools and some shingles and went to fix it himself. They say if you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself, so this woman must have been in good hands.
