He’s only 11-years-old, but Jackson Sober works hard to collect gifts and donations to create shoe box Christmas gifts for kids in other countries who might not get a present otherwise. The Covington, Louisiana boy has been helping less fortunate kids since he was four, but this year he outdid himself.
Thanks to his efforts, he and his family assembled 1,111 shoe box Christmas gifts in honor of Jackson’s 11th birthday. The presents include kid-friendly stuff like a tape measure, school supplies, and toothbrushes, along with other toys Jackson can squeeze into the box. Then the gifts get shipped by Operation Christmas Child to kids around the world.
“I really hope that when they get this shoe box,” Jackson says, “they’ll learn how much we love them and other people love them.”
