If you’re a wine drinker, there are a few things you should know to make your life with vino even better. Here are some hacks to up your wine game.
Make wine ice cubes so your drink doesn’t get watered down - Pour wine in your ice tray so you’re never stuck with hot or watered down vino. You can also freeze some grapes and toss them in your glass to cool your wine down.
If some cork breaks in your bottle, strain it using a coffee filter - And then no more cork chunks are floating in your glass.
Chill wine fast - By wrapping a room-temperature bottle in a wet paper towel and stick in the freezer for 20 minutes.
Not fast enough? Chill it faster - By pouring cold water, ice, and salt into an ice bucket, then add the bottle and more ice. The salt helps cool your wine down faster.
No corkscrew? No problem - Just use a key to open a bottle instead. Insert the key into the cork at an angle and twist clockwise around the whole bottle. Once you’ve gone around the entire bottle, use a towel to grip the key to pull it - and the cork - out.
Upgrade cheap wine with berries - Boost the flavor of your cheap wine with some berries in your glass. It’ll taste better and look chic too.
Get rid of red wine stains with salt, warm water, and a towel - Blot the wine stain with a dry paper towel, cover stain with table salt and let sit for an hour. Then dab with warm water and you should be stain-free.
