Orchid is a 9 year old spayed female, domestic shorthair (brown tabby) feline. She was surrendered over to HSBC because her owner was moving and could not take her with. She has been an only pet her whole life and has only ever lived with one person (her previous owner.) Because of this she tends to be very shy. That being said she would do best in a home that doesn't have a lot going on. She enjoys her independence, cat napping, and receiving attention on her own terms. She took a little while to get used to the staff at the shelter, but now that she is familiarized with us she really has started to break out of her shell. We are hoping to find a home for her that understands she will need plenty of time to adjust to her new environment! She is currently available for adoption at the Humane Society of Berks County!
