DDG: Owner That Sold Winning Powerball Ticket To Donate Store’s Prize

The owner of the store that sold the winning Powerball lottery ticket says he’s going to donate the $50,000 the store won to some local charities. Bob Bolduc owns the Pride store chain and one of his stores in Chicopee [[CHIH'-kuh-pee]], Massachusetts sold the winning ticket to the $758.7 million jackpot.

Mavis. L. Wanczyk [[WAHN'-zihk]] was the lucky winner of the largest grand prize won by a single lottery ticket in U.S. history. Lottery officials say she opted to take the lump sum payment of $480 million, which comes to $336 million after taxes.

Bolduc says he’s happy for the customer, and happy for the charities who will get his donations. Winning $50,000 just for selling the winning ticket is pretty good and it’s even better he’s paying it forward with the money.
