“Super Troopers” is finally getting a sequel. The 2001 cult classic crime-comedy was so loved that it received a massive chunk of crowdsourcing cash for another installment.
Thanks to the $4-point-4 million dollars collected, star Kevin Heffernansays that the film has been edited and is now in the post-production process. Now the team is waiting for a release date from Fox Searchlight.
The original “Super Troopers” – with a budget of $1-point-2 million dollars – made $23-point-1 million dollars. It followed a group of Vermont state troopers who engaged in more pranks than police work.
