A Turkish bodybuilder was stopped from boarding an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Miami because she was wearing “too short” denim shorts that would “disturb families” on the plane.
Deniz Saypinar says she was wearing short denim shorts and a small brown tank top and says the staff allegedly insulted her when they told her she was “almost naked.”
Saypinar is the first non-US citizen to win the US National Bikini Fitness Competition and has a million followers on Instagram. Those followers got the full story on her Instagram account, and her followers are supporting her.
Meanwhile, American Airlines has released a statement confirming “a customer” was denied boarding on the flight due to inappropriate clothing and was rebooked on a later flight.
