Families in Berks County are going to be available to experience what it's like to raise chicks this year. Swartz's Roadside Stand in Brecknock Township announced recently that it has started its rent-a-chick program. The program provides two chicks plus food, water, a heat lamp and shavings for 40-dollars to allow families to take the chicks home for two weeks to care for them. Participating families will have the option of keeping the chicks after the two weeks is up. More information can be found on the Swartz's Roadside Stand's Facebook page.
