Sadly, at the end of October, Emme Marie was involved in a house fire. The firefighter who rescued her found her just in the nick of time with her ears singed and breathing heavily. He administered oxygen to her, allowing her to recover and calm by the time our humane officers arrived on scene, where they immediately rescued her and brought her back to the shelter. Once evaluated by our medical team, Emme Marie was placed in a foster home where she was able to make a full and complete recovery from her injuries in the comfort of a warm home.
Now, this special and loving 4 year old is looking for a new family to call her own. Emme Marie can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly. She likes to play with teaser toys, but her favorite thing is to eat treats and be scratched on her chin, belly, and between her shoulder blades while laying with her foster mom. Since she is still in foster care Emme Marie can be met virtually through Zoom, or you can set up a special meet and greet with her and her foster family.
