A senior citizen in Carlisle is out 60-thousand-dollars after a sweepstakes scam. The 73-year-old was told over the phone last September she had won a half-million dollars in an international sweepstakes, but needed to pay taxes, border patrol, and courier fees across the county and to the Philippines. Police say others should be on alert for similar scams.
