On loan from The Pennhurst Memorial and Preservation Alliance, Muhlenberg Community Library is honored to host this poignant traveling exhibition. This panel exhibit tells the “real” story and controversy of The Pennhurst State School and Hospital leading to its closure and its part in the disabilities civil rights movement. The Pennhurst Story - Tragedy to Disability Rights exhibit will be on display during the library's regular operating hours from January 13 -January 31, 2020. The exhibit is free and there is no registration necessary to visit the library and see the exhibit.#CivicLiteracy
