The New Year means another toll hike on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Beginning after midnight Sunday, tolls will go up by six percent for E-Z Pass and cash customers. This is the 12th straight year that the turnpike has raised tolls. Officials say the increases are necessary so that they can maintain the highway and make yearly payments to PennDOT as required by law.
