BARTA Offering Free Bus Rides Next Wednesday
(Reading, PA) -- Riding BARTA buses will be free next Wednesday. The Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority says passengers will not pay any fares on all 19 bus routes as part of Free Ride Day. It's a statewide rider appreciation initiative, with 18 transit systems participating in the one day event. BARTA officials say this gives them the opportunity to say thanks to passengers for their support and patronage.
