TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Students at a E.L. Bing Elementary are being bussed to Progress Village Elementary after a fire in the schools cafeteria roof, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

Firefighters said construction was being done on the roof of the cafeteria when the fire happened.

The fire is out, all students are safe, and will be taken to Progress Village Elementary to facilitate lunches and parent/guardian pick up.

Officials said any person on the emergency list will need a photo id to pick up their student.

All students that are not picked up will follow their normal bus route this afternoon, HCFR said.
